A punk-infused and explosive performative concert from Finland

Do not miss out on this powerful explosion of electronic punk music and Finnish rap – with a hint of circus!

MUOVIPUSSI is an irresistible genre-bending company with shows full of surprises. In a multidisciplinary performance language, they deliver a feral cocktail of a show. They hark back to the mother tongue and mental world of their Finnish grandmothers. They splurge recklessly on kitschy pop culture and celebrate the avantgarde and its irreverent approach to convention.

In short: Don’t miss it!

(Also performing at DYNAMO WORKSPACE in Odense 25/4!)

BIOS:
Niklas Blomberg has a multidisciplinary background in both music (experimental electronic and classical piano) and contemporary circus, and graduated from Stockholm Dance and Circus University. As co-founder of Muovipussi, he creates performative concerts and constructs his own electronic instruments, which highlight the physical, visual, and performative aspects when played.

Milla Lahtinen is a circus artist, musician, and visual artist who works in the intersection where different art forms merge into unexpected combinations. She is co-founder of the companies Sisus and Muovipussi and has collaborated with numerous other companies (including Circo Aereo, Burnt Out Punks, Circus Arts, Galapiat Cirque, and Dance Theatre Hurjaruuth). She creates costumes from recycled materials, which function as visual artworks that blend seamlessly into Muovipussi’s performative expression.

Heidi Finnberg is a musician with a background in both classical music and pop/rock, and co-founder of Muovipussi. She studied violin for seven years at Luoteis-Helsingin Musiikkiopisto in Helsinki, and songwriting at the Rockacademie, Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg, the Netherlands. She both sings and plays a wide range of instruments and has participated in several crossover music/theatre/contemporary circus performances (including Noise Juice, Mad in Finland, and Funny Things Before Panic).
