An alchemist of Vanitas. A juggler of time, rather than gravity.
With his magical ”circus of objects”, Alexis Rouvre makes us experience time as if for the first time. A moment that lasts for nothing yet contains everything. As if it was caught in the midst of a movement – crystallized into a solid form. Or as astrophysicist Carlo Rovelli expressed it: “Bodies move naturally where time passes more slowly.”

BIO:
Alexis Rouvre is a juggler and acrobat with an unquestionable distinctive style in rope manipulation. He graduated from ESAC (BE) in 2009 and created his solo performance Cordes in 2014 (with support from Paola Rizza and Nicanor De Elia). He has performed with jugglers such as Jérôme Thomas, Martin Palisse, and Stefan Sing, and founded Cie Modo Grosso together with Tiziano Lavoratornovi. Since 2020, Alexis has been the artistic director of the company. More info here.
