– PLOCK! / Grensgeval (BE)

A childrens performance! Buzzing cans, dancing paint, coloured sounds and an acrobatic painter.

Visual circus-sound theatre that appeals to all the senses!

Axel tries to copy the painting of his hero Jackson Pollock. But how can he make the right blot on the right spot? Should he drip, throw, pour or splash the paint? Does he need to work with brushes or sticks or entire containers? He uses all of his body parts, but no matter how he turns, twists, jumps, or rolls: his painting does not resemble the original.

PLOCK! is a performance for everyone who likes to colour outside the lines every now and then!

Grensgeval was founded by Hanne Vandersteene and Mahlu Mertens, who both studied at the Theatre Academy in Maastricht (The Netherlands) where they graduated as directors in 2010. They create performances with and for children and young audiences. The company takes point of departure in the children´s fantasy and the child’s intuition in their exploration of adult themes. In the productions, Grensgeval places these themes in a deliberately naïve logic, mixed with a dose of anarchy and punk.
