What do we consent to without knowing? How can we create a safer space to make vulnerability possible and attractive? How can we take care of the audience while asking them to be part of a performance? How do we take care of people on stage? Who cares for whom? Can we have a moment for aftercare?

Elena Zanzu will invite the participants to (negotiate) some practices from the research around pain, consent negotiation and care, from which the performance EZ (“no” in Basque language) emerged.

Elena Zanzu is an artist and a researcher, especially interested in the intersections between artistic practices and ethics and holds a teacher degree from Montreal National Circus School and a masters in philosophy from the University of Bologna. A collaborator of The Circus Dialogue, at KASK University of Ghent, and a lecturer on gender perspective in circus at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Time and place: 23rd of March 16.30-18.30 at AFUK, Enghavevej 82B, 2450 Kbh. SV.
